Live Music Rocks My Soul

Anyone who understands how standing in a crowd of sweaty people, elbow to elbow, screaming along to the words embedded in your heart, can give you the most happiness ever needed. When you’re shoved against a sea of bodies and you don’t know what sweat actually belongs to you or your neighbour, you can barely breathe and in that moment, your favourite song starts playing and you forget about everything: all you’re concerned with is the melody, rhythm, and beat of the song. All you care about is singing your heart out and knowing it’s okay to love something maybe a little too much as long as it’s real to you. ~ Gerard Way

I am currently high on the feeling of live music and being surrounded by a group of people who love it as much as you do.

There’s something absolutely amazing about seeing a musician perform live.

Feeling the music pulse through your body.

And hearing everybody screaming along around you.

You get this energy you wouldn’t normally get from hearing that song. You get this feeling that you are somehow a part of that song.

It’s just amazing.

It’s like every word has an amplified meaning, every chord is just a little more fantastic, and for those couple hours, you’re a part of that song. That artist is sharing his or her music with you, and inviting you to join in on something beautiful.

This blog is a few days old – the internet here wasn’t doing so hot the night I wrote it. However, last Saturday I saw both The Script and SafetySuit in concert. Here are some pics (and if you click the pics, they should link to a couple youtube videos). Please check out these two AMAZING bands =)

Peace, Love, & Music,

Jax
